About Squash
What’s the allure?Besides providing a spectacular physical workout, squash is FUN. Those of us fortunate enough to play this growing sport in America understand why squash is popular worldwide. Listed in Forbes Magazine as the “World’s Healthiest Sport”, squash grabs you and won’t let go. Tennis, racquetball, badminton, and table tennis are fantastic sports with strong traditions. However, many of our members come from those backgrounds, where they excelled, and found squash to be incomparably more interesting.
After some self-practice, the average person can compete with other beginners, get a strong workout, and begin to climb the club ladder. To become really good at squash requires lessons, a sharp mind, excellent conditioning, the ability to judge what works in a long rally, and, perhaps most importantly, a demeanor which makes it fun for others to play with you. No wonder squash players tend to be smart, friendly, (modest…), and in shape!
